Overview. Our Mission. The mission of Youth For Tomorrow is to provide children and families with the opportunity to focus their lives and develop the confidence, skills, intellectual ability, spiritual insight and moral integrity each based on Godly principles, resulting in positive changes to the benefit of the child, the family, the community, and the nation. YFT Today. Today, YFT serves boys and girls, individuals and families, and all ages with a continuum of services. Its residential program based in Bristow, VA, continues to be strong and is complimented by programs serving hundreds of clients in local schools, private homes and community settings every day. YFT is meeting the needs of children and families by offering a continuum of services as an alternative to the nations fragmented and overburdened child and family care systems. The continuum of services offered by Youth For Tomorrow is unique to the Northern Virginia region and enables YFT to deliver the right care at the right time to children and families in crisis or in need of urgent care. Crisis Intervention Counseling Services. Diagnostic and Assessment Services. Outpatient Services. Therapeutic Day Treatment. Intensive In Home Services. Therapeutic Mentoring. All life changing care offered in the continuum is consistently effective because its based on the research proven delivery of services. As children and families make progress or fail to make progress at one level, they move to other levels that better fit their needs without starting over in their care. Services at the top of the continuum provide intensive care to children with serious emotional or behavioral problems. Children receive these services outside of their homes nevertheless, family reunification is always our ultimate goal. Services at the bottom of the continuum help families stay together through training, counseling and other measures available to your family. Children who are referred to YFT have struggled with one or more of the following issues Foster care. Poor academic performancespecial needs. Criminal behavioral patterns. Substance abuse. Bullying.
